When creating a wearable art garment I believe you need to have understanding of the integrity of the fabric and fibres you are using—their tactility, how they drape, cut, tear, stitch and how can I use this fabric in my art garment?
The scarf kit offers you a unique experience and insight into new fabrics, fibres and techniques.
This workshop has taken many many hours to prepare and what I am sharing with you here is the end results. You get techniques and skills without the years it took me to get to this point as an artist and I hope you love the experience as much as I do.
Supplies
In addition to the kit materials, all you need is machine embroidery threads, I use rayon for their softness, colour and sheen but do feel free to use whatever your favourite favourite machine embroidery thread is.
You will also need wool wash and fabric softener for the magic after all the stitching is completed .
