This purchase is for the material and instruction kit.
When creating a wearable art garment I believe you need to have understanding of the integrity of the fabric and fibres you are using—their tactility, how do they drape, cut, tear, stitch and how can I use this fabric in my art garment?
Because of this belief I am offering you the experience of completing three beautiful artworks to wear as scarves. Each scarf offers a unique experience and insight into new fabrics, fibres and techniques. Beginning with the Sheer Garden Scarf, the Hand Stitched Scarf and the Spherical Scarf – the master scarf. Each one builds on new skills and opens up to you the possibilities of what could be.
This workshop has taken many many hours to prepare and what I am sharing with you here is the end results. You get techniques and skills without the years it took me to get to this point as an artist and I hope you love the experience as much as I do.
If you are buying a kit there is one material you will all need to supply your self that is: https://www.sulky.com/item/sulky-sticky-fabrisolvy-stabilizer-white-12-x-6-yd-roll
I suggest two rolls. You may get by with one roll for all three scarves, or you may be just short, hence why I recommend buying two rolls. If you Google you will find a supplier in each country.
Once you have purchased your kit, you will receive a PDF download for each scarf.
HOW YOU WILL LEARN
This online workshop will be run through a private facebook group. I will send you information on how to access this group after purchase. In this private group are comprehensive written instructions, videos and images – all broken up into simple to follow numbered steps.
I want this group to be interactive, to share images of your progress, to share creative ideas and to support each other. I will do some live posts but more importantly I am available to be messaged and asked questions which I will answer asap (allowing for different time zones).
You will have access to this group as long as Facebook is online.
